I have made some pins for good luck to you all in the new year! This one is a Kagami Mochi Kitty named Tora! Tora a tiger striped cat for the year of the Tiger!

🍊Kagami Mochi is made from two Japanese rice cakes (mochi), with the smaller one placed on top of the larger one and a orange (daidai) on top. The two rice cakes symbolize the year being left behind and the new year ahead. Daidai is considered auspicious, as the word can be translated to "generation after generation" representing a family's wish for longevity and prosperity for years to come.
